DoubleSense® III detects double,
missed and multiple sheets by sending invisible
infra red light though the paper. With an advanced
algorithm the internal micro processor evaluates
data from the whole sheet before it signals the
paper status to your machine
The calibration is fully automatic - no manual
adjustments are needed! The sensor collects opacity
data from paper lead edge to paper trail edge
and stores the processed data in its memory. This
method results in a highly accurate recognition
of each paper.
If you wish to use DoubleSense as a stand-alone
unit the operator panel on the sensor processing
unit will serve as your user interface. The sensor
operates on 12-24 Volt DC and the output configuration
NPN/PNP is set on the internal DIP-switch. The
sensor is designed for a plug-and-play installation
which makes it very easy to use.

If you wish to integrate the sensor with your
control system the possibilities are many. Choose
between using a parallel interface with 4 inputs/4outputs
or a serial interface RS485/RS422, or both!
If you only want to know if the sheet is double
or not, use the signal Double Output.
If you also want to know the passing time, the
length of the paper or if the paper is jammed
or stuck - use the I/O or the serial port. If
you want to customize the sensor for your purposes,
our engineer team is at your service.
DoubleSense has become a key component
mainly in value paper processing machines, such
as for example the processing of banking material.
Also in collating, folding and labeling systems
is the sensor valuable in the process of detecting
double sheets, missed sheets and missing layers.
A number of large machine manufacturers have
